Kerning the Gap is pleased to announce the launch of the next cohort of our mentoring programme!
Our 12-month mentoring scheme gives you the chance to focus on development areas important to you and your future career so that we can start to close the leadership gender gap in our industry.
As a mentee you will identify areas to focus on and be matched to a mentor who has the experience to help you develop. As a mentor you will support someone in the industry who is looking to take their next step. The brilliant Conversation Space will be running the programme again for us this year and will support both mentors and mentee in how to get the most of the year with guidance, check ins and feedback sessions. You will also be supported by the Kerning the Gap crew and have chance to connect with others in the scheme across the country.
To kick things off, our ‘Mentor Matching’ event will be held across the country w/c 19th September 2022 from 6pm-7.30pm, via Zoom. You'll get the chance to meet lots of possible Mentors in a speed-matching style event.
We will have a follow up events w/c 3rd October from 6pm-7.30pm (also via zoom) to guide you with how to start on your mentoring journey.
(We have chosen to run these sessions virtually again as it has given flexibility for more people to join. Connection details will be sent ahead of the event.)
The scheme costs a total of £80 for the full years programme for mentees. There is nothing to pay for mentors, we only ask you to give your time.
We have kept our fees as accessible as possible, but if you are struggling and do not have support from an employer to cover the costs, please get in touch to ask about our small number of subsidised places. You’ll find the links for your regional contact on the eventbrite links below.
